--- Letter from the President ---
Plantation Preserve Community,
Here we are into September already. Please drive with care as always and watch for our children going to and returning from school.
As you may have noticed a new landscaping company was hired this month. Please be assured we are trying to get the best services for our money. Many projects have been completed over the past year and the community looks good. Expenses were incurred with Hurricane Irma but we had the funds saved to cover the unexpected costs. As prices to maintain our community continue to increase, the board voted to raise the monthly dues to $140 effective January 2019. We have not experienced an increase in years but with the costs consistently increasing, we need to ensure we can continue to have the necessary reserves to maintain our community. We project this $5 increase will be sufficient to sustain us in the coming years.
The holidays are soon approaching and the board is planning some community activities with the first one being Halloween so please look for announcements in the near future. Also remember the annual meeting where two board members are up for re-election. The current board has been working together for the community and as always a board that can work together will get things done. Hope to see you soon.
Chris Beckel, President
